The Lewis & Clark Sacagawea commemorative silver medallion features a scene of the "Corps of Discovery" expedition of 1804-1806 on the front. With Lewis Meriwether, William Clark, Sacagawea and presumably Toussaint Charbonneau, viewing a valley, with hills and mountains in the background. Unfortunately, Seaman didn't make it onto the commemorative medal. The expedition went from 1804 to 1806 and the route covered a vast area from Missouri to the West Coast of the United States. The back of the commemorative, shows a partial map of the Western United States with the route of the trail outlined across the map. The back is also dated 1804-1806 and is hallmarked with weight and purity of the silver. The silver will arrive in a clear hard plastic capsule and velour type gift pouch. The medallion measures 39mm which is just a little larger then an old silver dollar.
